The Akuvox VC50B is a 5MP outdoor bullet IP camera built for round-the-clock surveillance in demanding Canadian conditions. At its core is a 1/2.8" Sony STARVIS back-illuminated CMOS sensor delivering crisp 2592 x 1944 video at 30 fps, with a minimum illumination of 0.003 lux for exceptional detail in near darkness.

**See in colour, day and night.** The VC50B combines 40 m infrared with a 30 m warm light illuminator under automatic control. When activity is detected, the camera can switch to full colour mode so you capture clothing colours, vehicle colours, and other identifying detail that black and white IR footage misses. A 120 dB WDR engine keeps entrances, loading docks, and parking areas readable even against harsh backlight.

**Smart human analytics, fewer false alarms.** Onboard AI distinguishes people from swaying branches, headlights, and wildlife. Human intrusion detection and line crossing detection turn the VC50B into a genuine perimeter tool rather than a simple motion recorder, cutting nuisance alerts for monitoring stations and end users alike.

**Built for our climate.** The all-metal IP67 housing is rated from -20°C to +60°C, ready for Quebec and Ontario winters, freezing rain, and summer heat. At 423 g with a compact 169 mm profile, it mounts cleanly on soffits, walls, and poles.

**Installer friendly by design.** Power over Ethernet (IEEE 802.3af) means one cable does it all, with DC 12V as a backup option. Full ONVIF and RTSP support ensures compatibility with major NVR and VMS platforms, and the fixed 2.8 mm F1.6 lens delivers a wide 124° diagonal field of view ideal for entrances and driveways. A built-in microphone adds audio context, and an optional external SD slot supports edge recording up to 512 GB.
