Description
Built for Canadian winters, not just Canadian catalogues.
The Dahua N42BJ62 is a 4MP fixed eyeball network camera from the Lite Series, upgraded to ArcticPro specification. It operates continuously at temperatures as low as -40 °C without an internal heater, which lowers power consumption and reduces operating cost over the life of the install. For unheated loading docks, rooftop runs, farm yards and remote sites across Quebec, Ontario and the Prairies, that removes the single most common cold-weather failure point.
A 1/3-inch progressive-scan CMOS sensor delivers 2688 x 1520 at 20 fps through a 2.8 mm fixed lens with a 102° horizontal field of view. Basic Starlight technology captures usable colour detail down to 0.008 lux, and Smart IR modulates LED intensity by subject distance to prevent close-range whiteout, with illumination to 30 m.
Smart H.265+ applies scene-adaptive encoding, dynamic GOP, dynamic ROI and intelligent noise reduction to cut bit rate and storage requirements by up to 70 percent versus standard H.265. On a 16-camera site that difference decides whether the recorder needs a second drive bay.
True WDR at 120 dB, ICR day/night switching, 3D DNR, 16x digital zoom, IVS analytics, a microSD slot to 256 GB, IP67 metal housing, and 12 VDC or PoE power. A built-in microphone captures audio, and ONVIF Profile S, G and T compliance keeps it open to third-party VMS platforms.
